'We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are'
Morrie Camhi

Lucinda uses photography as a means of self expression, to identify with the more obvious and hidden aspects of her character. She believes that a person is defined by their actions, choices and are therefore defined by the environments they choose to put themselves in. This explains why Lucinda records her own surroundings, photographing the people and places she chooses to have around her.

Lucinda records social documentary in an unusual manner, sometimes alienating herself to do so, often resulting in angst and solipsism. Beauty, fragility and fear are all present and tangible within the work, as seen in her 2010 project, NewPort24. As can be seen, Lucinda's approach to documentary photography utillises high points within the landscape, it has been said that her images 'challenge the viewer to reconsider the environment they find themselves in.'

When talking about upcomig projects Lucinda said:
''I am currently working on three bodies of work, the first is images of rural areas from various unique vantage points within the skyline. The second is a commercial venture with Hartlepool Borough Council, portraying elite sports women from the town. I am shooting this to de-masculate the athletes, in a way that does not conform to traditional sports portraiture. The third body of work is one based on personal environments. I'm recording people within the environments they seek to put themselves in, from the Catacombs under Paris to the bridge tops of New York.''
