OutSide-Inside-Out

In her project 'Out-Side-In-Side-Out', Lucinda shows New York's  most iconic views, locations and tourists spots from a warped perspective.

Once the outsider, the tourist traveling to and visiting New York as so many do, Lucinda has seen the tourist sites many times over. Now living here, understanding the cities unique culture, it's pace and people of the city more, she sees the same places in a very different way. She is the outsider, thats now inside looking out.

It's said that New York is the city that never sleeps, but Lucinda believes that it does, and that it's the people of the city that don't. Through 'Out-Side-In-Side-Out', Lucinda documents the iconic spots in New York City from the perspective of those who work there, utilizing the city itself to shoot from, many of the images show unseen views of the city, such as Times Square from the top of the many screens that draw in the tourists, even from the top of the pole as the ball dropped on New Years Eve.
